The Bernie Mullane Sports Complex is a state of the art, multi purpose, indoor / outdoor facility built and owned by the Baulkham Hills Shire Council and proudly managed by the YMCA of Sydney.

The Centre offers a wide range of health, recreation and sporting programs and services to cater for the diverse ages, interests and abilities of its surrounding communities while building opportunities for individuals, families and community groups to connect, feel welcome and grow in body, mind and spirit.

• Community Sports Competitions

  Professionally run and SERIOUSLY FUN, our sports competitions focus on fun, fairness and participation. We use great facilities and referees and offer the latest in online draws, results and fixtures.  Find out more about Community Sports Competitions.

  • Basketball Basketball is a fun sport offered through many of our centres. In fact, the YMCA actually invented the sport. We offer a range of basketball activities that include competitions for all ages, coaching programs, and court hire.
  • Indoor Netball A great, fun way to enjoy this popular team sport or to maintain your skills and fitness for the outdoor season.

Our competitions are professionally run with a focus on fun, fairness and participation. • Children's Services

  YMCA of Sydney is an organisation committed to listening and actively responding to the community's needs. Our children's programs are designed to impart positive values and partnerships within the wider community. We provide a safe, nurturing environment where your children can develop social skills, learn through play and build personal assets that assist them in becoming positive, healthy young people who reach their full potential.   • Vacation Care

    Vacation Care provides care to school-aged children during School Holiday periods. Vacation Care offers great fun and diversity through activity theme days, excursion and incursion options as well as specialty clinics in sports and creative arts.

    Our enrolment process involves filling out 2 forms, the 2008 annual vacation care enrolment form and the school holiday period vacation care booking form. Both forms need to be returned by either post, fax or in person at the centre with payment or by filling out your credit card details to secure your booking.

  • Creche Look after yourself while we look after the kids! The YMCA's creche service provides your children with a safe and caring environment, whilst you as the parent are enjoying your own YMCA experience, whether it be your fitness regime, or taking an art class.

• Gymnastics

  • Kindergym

    YMCA Kindergym is a physical and social development program for children aged 18mths - 5 yrs, based on gymnastics skills and apparatus. Kindergym kids learn to be stronger in body (motor skills, strength and coordination), mind (creativity, cognitive development and problem solving) and spirit (social development and confidence).

    With our unique "themed" program, children experience a new adventure every fortnight like circus, superheroes, the Olympics, jungle safari and more.

  • Artistic Gymnastics The YMCA is a recognised leader in the delivery of gymnastics programs for all ages and abilities. Gymnastics is the ideal way for children to develop strength, coordination and flexibility, motor skills, confidence and self esteem. YMCA of Sydney's gymnastics clubs offer varying levels of the Artistic Gym program.

  • Group Fitness Enjoy fun fitness with friends at your local YMCA. We offer a diverse range of group fitness programs delivered by our friendly qualified instructors. From traditional aerobics to boxing based classes, circuits and more alternative health programs.
  • Kidzmoves YMCA's 'Kidzmoves' are a range of programs designed to get kids moving in a fun, non competitive environment. A wide variety of programs are offered across our centres from Active Fun, Kids Fitness, Learn to Play Sports Programs and more. The Kidzmoves concept is a YMCA initiative designed to engage young children in physical activity in order to combat the trend of obesity in younger generations. In addition, kids learn to play and interact with others whilst learning lifelong skills that will help discourage anti social behaviour. The unique aspect of this concept is that children are offered a large variety of activities, along with fun, professional guidance. These factors combined increase the likelihood of a positive experience, reinforcing the child's perception that they can participate in active group activities regardless of their ability.

  • prymeMOVERS Physical activity for mature adults! The prYme movers philosophy embraces three elements: Fitness, Fun and Friendship for the mature population. Fitness is the essence through exercise to music with instructors who have empathy for mature adults. Pryme Movers welcome newcomers and foster and maintain an atmosphere of fun and friendliness to enable one and all to feel that they really belong. Through participation, new and common interests and new and shared experiences, friendships are forged. This in turn enhances the quality of life now and for years to come.
  • Teen Gym The YMCA teen gym program is an after school program for teenagers aged between 12 -15 years offering age appropriate exercise programs for teens run by qualified YMCA fitness trainers. Teen gym is a fun and exciting program in which your children can improve their strength, fitness, general health and well being. Teen Gym will also help develop positive exercise habits for life, as well as helping young people grow in confidence and self-esteem.
  • Challenge Fitness Camp

    Challenge Fitness Camp is a six-week outdoor group fitness program comprising of three sessions a week with a qualified YMCA fitness instructor. Each session involves a variety of exercises and activities ranging from circuit training, boxing, endurance running, obstacle courses and team based activities – at a variety of locations.   • Badminton Badminton is a great sport and a fun social activity. We offer competitions and court hire. A great way to keep fit and have fun!
  • Martial Arts The YMCA offers a variety of martial arts programs. A range of disciplines are offered but all are run by friendly, qualified instructors and will develop participants in body, mind and spirit.
  • Table Tennis Table tennis is a fun sport for all ages and abilities. An enjoyable and social activity with coaching and instruction from our internationally accredited instructors.
  • Tennis

    The YMCA offers a full range of Tennis programs for people of all ages and abilities including:

    • Toddler Tennis for 3 - 5 year olds
    • Children's Group Coaching for 5 years +
    • Private Lessons

    Tuition is offered for children in either beginner, intermediate or private lessons during school term and holiday clinics.  All aspects of tennis are covered from stroke development to matchplay with an emphasis on having fun. Coaches provide analysis of all pupils, practice on the ball machine along with a game day and reports on final day.

  The PDHPE syllabus reflects core YMCA values of developing body, mind and spirit.
