Our Before School, After School and Vacation Care services are delivered across 50 sites in NSW, providing care for more than 10,000 children each year. Our experienced Educators design and deliver quality programs based on the nationally approved learning framework “My Time, Our Place”.
For eligible families enrolled in our approved OSHC services, the Child Care Subsidy (CCS) will assist with reducing the out of pocket childcare fees for families.

The Y NSW proudly offers before and after-school care programs in Sydney, Newcastle & The Central Coast. If your child is between five and 12 years old and enrolled in primary school, they will love our Before and After School Programs. Our before and after-school care programs are designed to provide a safe, stimulating environment for children to learn, play, and grow outside of normal school hours; our outside school-hours care programs are staffed by experienced, qualified educators who are committed to ensuring each child is supported to reach their full potential.
With a focus on promoting social and emotional development, providing quality care, and engaging children in various fun and educational activities, our before and after-school care programs are perfect for busy families needing extra support. We also provide healthy and delicious snacks, with breakfast being served in the morning and afternoon tea after school.
Vacation Care at the Y NSW is available across NSW, including Sydney, Central Coast, Newcastle and Broken Hill regions. Our school holiday programs are jam-packed with activities designed to stimulate inquisitive minds, get children physically active and discover interests. Our vacation care programs provide a range of exciting activities that encourage creativity, socialisation and adventure.
Our experienced staff at these programs are highly experienced and qualified to cater to each child's individual needs and interests, from excursions and incursions to interactive sessions that enhance learning in a fun and interactive way. We offer timetables that include art workshops, Pajama Days, visits to local museums, S.T.E.A.M (Technology Days), Strike Bowling and Laser Tag and many more.
As a not-for-profit provider, the Y NSW works hard to keep the cost of care as low as possible to support all children to access high-quality early learning. The Y NSW is an approved Child Care Subsidy for Out of School Hours Care (OSHC) provider and may be available to eligible families.

We are accredited by the Australian Childhood Foundation as a child-safe organisation. The Y NSW is a benchmark organisation for best practice processes to keep children and young people safe and we value and respect parents as partners in the care and education of their children.
We have launched one of the first child safety models co-designed by more than 500 children and young people across the country. The “Stay Safe, Tell Someone” program was based off the responses of children aged 3-18 and helps guide how we share this information with young people.
