YMCA Lochinvar OSHC operates out the school hall at St Patrick’s Primary School, Lochinvar.

We provide Before and After School Care services to children aged 5-12 years.

We aim to provide a service that encourages children to develop at their own pace, make friends and feel safe, where children are treated as individuals, needs are met and children’s ideas are encouraged.

Children develop a strong sense of identity and wellbeing, are connected and contribute to their world, are confident and involved learners and develop effective communication skills. We support and encourage children to learn through play, offering opportunities that are meaningful to children and support their learning and development.

The children’s interests are the foundations of our programs. We encourage children to be involved in interesting and exciting play experiences and explore their talents and potential. Children enjoy singing, dancing, cooking, doing cool science experiments and tending to the chickens.

We inspire all children to engage in healthy lifestyles. We offer breakfast and afternoon tea in accordance with healthy eating guidelines. We also encourage children to participate in outdoor active play.

Our Educators pride themselves on the high level of supervision that is provided at our centre. Educators are governed by policies that are available to parents at any time. Child protection is our highest priority.

“YMCA Lochinvar OSHC is about creating endless experiences and possibilities for children, developing their own ideas and activities, allowing them to develop their own interests and make friendships. Why not come on by and feed the chickens or come and cook with the veggies that we have grown ourselves! We have fun doing a lot of experimenting, problem solving and construction.” – Joseph Purcell, Children’s Services Manager.
