YMCA Hamilton OSHC operates out of Hamilton Public School.

We provide After School Care services to children aged 5-12 years.

We aim to provide a service that encourages children to develop at their own pace, make friends and feel safe, where children are treated as individuals, needs are met and children’s ideas are encouraged.

Children develop a strong sense of identity and wellbeing, are connected and contribute to their world, are confident and involved learners and develop effective communication skills. We support and encourage children to learn through play, offering opportunities that are meaningful to children and support their learning and development.

The children’s interests are the foundations of our programs. We encourage children to be involved in interesting and exciting play experiences and explore their talents and potential. Children enjoy art, wax painting, hama beading, playing with Lego, board games, playing outdoors and challenging card games.

We inspire all children to engage in healthy lifestyles. We offer breakfast and afternoon tea in accordance with healthy eating guidelines. We also encourage children to participate in outdoor active play.

Our Educators pride themselves on the high level of supervision that is provided at our centre. Educators are governed by policies that are available to parents at any time. Child protection is our highest priority.

“YMCA Hamilton OSHC is about creating endless experiences and possibilities for children, developing their own ideas and activities, allowing them to develop their own interests and make friendships. We have a large grassed area for children to run and play, as well as exciting equipment where they can build their gross motor skills. Inside, children can engage in a wide-range of activities. We offer a welcoming and supportive environment that allows for freedom throughout structured learning.” - Joseph Purcell, Children’s Services Manager.
