YMCA Ambervale OSHC operates out of Ambrosia Neighbourhood Centre, next to Thomas Acres Public School. The service is fully-secured with access to a big kitchen, playground and shaded area.

We provide the following services for children aged 5-12 years:

We encourage children to develop at their own pace, make friends and feel safe. A place where children are treated as individuals, needs are met and ideas are encouraged.

Children develop a strong sense of identity and wellbeing, are connected and contribute to their world, are confident and involved learners and develop effective communication skills. We support and encourage children to learn through play, offering opportunities that are meaningful to children and support their learning and development.

The children’s interests are the foundations of our programs. Children at our centre particularly enjoy:

  • cooking
  • crafts
  • sewing
  • card making
  • painting
  • puzzles
  • dancing
  • team sports, such as soccer, football, dodge ball and cricket.

Homework is also encouraged.

Breakfast and afternoon tea is offered in accordance with healthy eating guidelines and there are opportunities for active outdoor play.

Our Educators pride themselves on the high level of supervision that is provided at YMCA OSHC. Educators are governed by policies that are available to parents at any time. Child protection is our highest priority.
